Features Of CertGear's SCBCD (CX-310-090) Certification Practice Test

  • Learn As You Go - Detailed explanations tell you not just the right answer, but why the right answer is right and the wrong answers are wrong. References for further study are also provided.

  • Customized Options - You decide the way you want to take the testing including:
Timed, Live scoring, Randomization, Ask Incorrect, Show Answer, Select # of questions.

  • Randomization - The tests in our certification mode are dynamic, not fixed like some other practice tests are, so you'll get a new test every time. Each test is timed and the objectives are weighted the same as on the real exam.

  • History - The test engine keeps a history of all the exams and scores you have achieved on those tests. You can easily track your progress and help determine when you are ready to take the actual exam.

  • Categories - Many tests contain categories for you to selectively study topics. Additionally, you can see your grade in each category at the end of the exam.

  • Graphic Scoring - Graphical Breakdown Of Exam Results To Pinpoint Areas To Focus Your Study Effort..

  • Updates - Keep Up-To-Date With The Most Current And Most Accurate Exam Questions / Answers / Explanations With Complimentary Product Updates.

Consider the ejbCreate and ejbPostCreate methods of an entity bean. Which of the following capabilities is possible in the ejbPostCreate() method that is NOT possible in the ejbCreate() method?

A) retrieve a reference to the bean's EJB object
B) retrieve a reference to the bean's Home
C) retrieve the client's security information
D) rollback a transaction
E) retrieve the primary key associated with the bean using the EntityContext object

  • [ANS: A, E]

  • The following diagram describes the sequences of steps that occur before and after ejbCreate is invoked:

Notice that when the ejbCreate() method is invoked on an entity bean, the bean's EJBObject has NOT even been created yet. Since there is NO EJBObject available by the time ejbCreate() is called, an entity bean cannot retrieve a reference to an EJBObject during the ejbCreate() method.

However, by the time the ejbPostCreate() method is invoked by the Container, a EJBObject has been created and initialized. Therefore, unlike during the ejbCreate() method, an EJBObject can be retrieved in the ejbPostCreate() method.

In addition, the primary key is NOT available as part of the EntityContext until AFTER the ejbCreate () method returns. Part of the job of the ejbCreate() method is to create a new primary key for the entity. Only AFTER the ejbCreate() method returns can the Container associate a primary key with the bean's EntityContext object. Therefore a primary key CANNOT be retrieved from the EntityContext during the ejbCreate() method. On the other hand, a primary key can be retrieved from the EntityContext during the ejbPostCreate().

On the other hand, all the other listed capabilities, such as 1) retrieving the bean's Home object, 2) rolling back a transaction, 3) obtaining security information about the client can be accomplished in both the ejbCreate and ejbPostCreate methods.
